Welcome to our brand new website!

The Lafayette College Wine Society is not a new club - we've been around for a number of years now. We are recognized by Student Government and have close to 100 students signed up, as well as several faculty members and their spouses. Membership is open to all students, staff and faculty and their guests. Needless to say, students need to be 21 years of age to actually attend wine tastings.

In the United States, wine has unfortunately been categorized with harder spirits and shares with them, to some extent, the stigma of being drunk to cause intoxication. Our primary goal is to dispel this myth; to show that wine is a social drink rather than an intoxicating drink. Our second goal is to show that anyone can learn to enjoy wine. We try to do this by having at least one guided tasting a semester where members can sample different kinds of wine and discuss what they like and dislike.

Spring 2006 Beer Tasting!
April 20th, 2006
This tasting featured domestic beer including lager, pale and dark. Also during the event, the new board for 2006-2007 was elected.

Fall 2005 Tasting!
September 26th, 2005
This tasting featured wine from all over Europe, and thank you all for participation. Watch out for the updates for the next tasting event.

International Wines!

Yet another huge turnout by the interested students and faculty, and new board members for Fall 2005 were selected.
