Welcome to our brand new
website! The Lafayette College Wine Society is not a new club - we've been around for a number of years now. We are recognized by Student Government and have close to 100 students signed up, as well as several faculty members and their spouses. Membership is open to all students, staff and faculty and their guests. Needless to say, students need to be 21 years of age to actually attend wine tastings. In the United States, wine has unfortunately been categorized with harder spirits and shares with them, to some extent, the stigma of being drunk to cause intoxication. Our primary goal is to dispel this myth; to show that wine is a social drink rather than an intoxicating drink. Our second goal is to show that anyone can learn to enjoy wine. We try to do this by having at least one guided tasting a semester where members can sample different kinds of wine and discuss what they like and dislike. This promises to be an exciting new year for the Wine Society. If you have any questions or queries, please direct them to one of the officers below: President:
