| The Executive Director has administered all aspects
of the museum's operations for 26 years. He has expanded the
organization from a small local museum to a nationally recognized
museum and historic site with a dedicated and well qualified staff.
Responsibilities include fiscal administration, fund raising, planning,
marketing, public relations and board relations. He earned his
BS degree in park administration from Pennsylvania State University
with supplemental training in museums and financial management. |

| The Director of Public Programs and Collections Manager
oversees the collections, exhibits, education and special programs
staff. In his role as collections manager he is responsible
for gifts to the collection, records, cataloging/processing, conservation,
storage, research and reproduction, and loans. He has completed
course work for a PhD in History from Miami University of Ohio, and
has 26 years of experience in museums, archives, and management with
the Ohio Historical Society. He started his current position
in March 2000. |

| The Director of Operations of 4 years has a MA in history:
archival, museum, and editing studies from Duquense University and
a BS in Business Administration. She oversees the daily operation
of the National Canal Museum, canal boat, lockhouse, boat store, facility
maintenance including maintenance staff, and helps implement the marketing
and volunteer programs. |

| The Curator of Education and Exhibits develops and implements
the exhibition, educational, and interpretive programs of the organization.
The curator has a PhD in the sciences from the Syracuse university
and a Certificate in Museum Studies from the University of Washington.
She has experience in education in a state park, botanical garden,
academic and corporate environments. |

| Our Historian of 20 years is responsible for research,
writing, and program/exhibit develpment. He helps develop the
collection, works with researchers and outside organizations, and
serves as content editor for the symposium Proceedings.
He has a MA degree in maritime history from the University of Maine,
and is serving as a Commonwealth Speaker for the Pennsylvania Humanities
Council. |

| The Director of Development has 12 years experience
in her current position. Her responsibilities include grant
administration, corporate and individual giving, capital campaigns,
sponsorships and program publicity. She has a BA in Art History
from Marymount College, and teaching certification from Kean University. |

| The Facilities Manager/Park Ranger IV has worked in
his current position for 18 years and has extensive experience in
construction, grounds, and facility maintenence. |
