Jan. 26 - Railroad Film Night (7:30 PM, National Canal Museum/Two
Rivers Landing auditorium)

Mitchell Dakelman, film curator of the National Railroad Historical
society, has selected films around the theme "The Age of Steel
and Speed: Streamliners on American Railroads".
Streamlined trains were the crown jewels of American railroad
passenger transportation between the 1930s and 19502. Powered
by either steam, diesel or electric locomotives, streamlined trains
were the ultimate synbol of art moderne design movement.

March 15 - Spring Lecture Series - (7:30 PM, National Canal Museum/Two
Rivers Landing auditorium)

"The Career of William Strickland, Architect and Engineer"
by Lance E. Metz. During the 1820s and 1830s William
Strickland of Philadelphia was considered to be one of America's
most prominent architects and engineers. Lance Metz's slide
lecture will focus on Strickland's career, paying particular
attention to the effects that his work had on the creation of canals
and railroads in Pennsylvania.

E. Simon Center for Economics and Business Administration, Lafayette
College)

March 31 - Muddigger's Day (9AM-4PM, Hugh Moore Park)

Hugh Moore Historical Park and Museum are seeking volunteers for
Muddiggers Day. Projects planned are general spring cleanup of
the park and bike paths, preparinng the Canal Boat for the coming
season, and setting up the park for season opening. If you are
