Completed in 1991 and constructed of beautiful hand-cut local gray stone, the 68,000 square-foot Farinon College Center is the distinctive community center of the Lafayette cocurricular experience. Its spacious common areas, balconies, large windows and skylights, and imposing circular central stairway are set off by natural oak and brass. The center houses the Drake Dining Room, a food court and convenience store, Post Office, Limburg Theater, and College Store. Also included are meeting rooms, the Marlo multipurpose room, a student activities workroom, office space for nine student organizations and several administrative departments, and the impressive three-story Landis Atrium. The principle and "naming" gift for the center was provided by alumnus Bill Farinon '39 and his wife PT.
