The school in Glenorchy, New Zealand was very energy efficient. The school uses solar panels on top of the roof in order to provide electricity to the building. Solar panels convert sunlight into energy. That energy is then used to power the electricity of the school. Unfortunately we were unable to see the interior of the school, but we can definitely say that the use of solar panels significantly reduces the need/use of artificial lighting (bulbs).
