Description of the Puerto Rican Building from the Official Catalogue and Guidebook to the Pan-American Exposition:
Puerto Rico is represented by Senor Don Jose T. Silva, chairman and two other Commissioners. The Island Government is spending $10,000 upon its exhibits. A typical Puerto Rican "Rancho" 24 by 78 feet and 20 feet high, costing about $2,000, contains most of the exhibits from that Island, and is the first building west of the New England building. About 1,200 square feet of space in the Agriculture building is also occupied by Puerto Rico.
