Housing Lottery 2009-2010 (updated 4/8/09)

Living on campus is expressly related to the academic mission of the College. Membership in a residential, academic community provides unique opportunties for enhanced learning and personal growth. All undergraduates are guaranteed on campus housing. Students are required to live in college housing unless they apply and are approved to reside in Private Off Campus housing or commute from their parent's home.

This site contains all policies and processes related to room selection and housing lottery for current students. Please carefully read all information on this page and in the Lottery Packet below. Please note, information is subject to change prior to lottery.

DIFFERENT FOR THIS YEAR!

APPLICATION FOR RESIDENCE:  All students enrolling for the 2009-2010 academic year must complete an Application for Residence to indicate how they will secure their housing for the year.  A link to the Application will be sent to all class of 2010, 2011, and 2012 students via campus e-mail on Thursday, March 5th. If you do not receive the e-mail, please contact the Office of Residence Life.

LOTTERY DATES: The schedule for lottery events has changed since last year.  Events will be held on Mondays during April.  Please refer to the timeline below for specific dates and times.  All lottery events will take place in Oechsle 224.

ROOM RATES:  Room rates are approved by the Board of Trustees in late March.  Notice regarding room rates will be posted on the Residence Life web page after the rates are approved.  Students are responsible for understanding the rate for the type of housing they select.

SUBSTANCE-FREE HOUSING: Keefe 4th floor, Ramer 3rd floor and Watson 1st floor are designated as Wellness. Students interested in living in one of these environments must submit a Substance-free Application by March 25th.
