COMPASS
The COMPASS program, established in 2004, exists to assist chapters develop themselves and their members in the areas of Scholarship, Leadership, Service, Community Building, Management & Development, and Educational Programming.
Chapters are evaluated and assigned to categories, based on their score. The categories are: Excellent, Satisfactory, Marginal, and Unacceptable. Each category has associated rewards, or consequences, based on the chapter's submission, its past performance, and its score relative to the other chapters.
Rewards for chapters include: a partial or full scholarship to an organization's summer conference, financial considerations for common room renovation, an extra single room allotted to the chapter and recognition at the Annual Greek Awards Ceremony.
Those chapters who are Unacceptable, may face the following consequences: development of a detailed action plan to address deficient areas, mandatory attendance at approved summer leadership opportunities, probation (either social or disciplinary) period with the College, revocation of social priveliges, and recommendation for withdrawl of recognition at the College.
