David J. Taylor joined Air Products in 1980 as a participant in the company’s Career
Development Program with assignments in gases controllership, and applied
research and development. He subsequently held a variety of positions within the
company’s Process Gas Division, including account manager for the standard plant
business area in 1982, senior account manager for petroleum recovery systems in
1983, and product manager-cogeneration for energy systems in 1986. From 1988-
1993 Mr. Taylor held management positions within the company’s Environmental
and Energy Systems Division, and in 1995 he was transferred to Air Products
Singapore Pte Ltd as general manager. Mr. Taylor returned to the U.S. in 2000 as
global commercial director-amines for the Industrial Chemicals Division and was
appointed vice president and general manager for the Division in 2002. He was
named vice president, large ASU (air separation unit) businesses in 2003 and
assumed his current position in January 2005.
Mr. Taylor was born in 1955 in Westfield, N.J. He received a B.S. degree in
chemical engineering and economics in 1978 and an M.S. degree in industrial
administration in 1980, both from Carnegie Mellon University. He also completed a
Management Development Course at the University of Chicago in 1994. |
