Mr. Pryor joined Mobil Oil Corporation in 1971 as a marketing representative in New York. During the 1980s, he served as general manager in Cyprus and New Zealand and held managerial positions in planning, finance and information systems.
In 1993, Mr. Pryor was appointed vice president, U.S. Marketing and Refining, and then vice president, Mobil Chemical Company. In 1996, he was appointed president, Mobil Asia Pacific, and the following year president, International Marketing and Refining. Following the ExxonMobil merger in 1999, he was named president, ExxonMobil Lubricants and Specialities Company. In 2002, he became executive vice president, ExxonMobil Chemical Company. He was appointed to his present position in December, 2004.
Mr. Pryor earned a bachelor's degree in biology from Lafayette College and an MBA from Harvard University. He serves as chairman of the Downstream Committee of the American Petroleum Institute, a director of the National Association of Manufacturers and chairman of its Energy/Environment Policy Group, and as a trustee of Lafayette College. |
