- Students vote Reynaldo Tancoso Pepper prize recipient

- The possibility of removing Mike "Greeny" Green from freshman orientation has been discussed by top student representatives, among other changes to the four-day event.
- Farinon Arcade still silent
- The arcade downstairs in Farinon Student Center has been dark for a whole semester. In response, many students have speculated about the cause of the shutdown.
- Basement Hogg possible recreation facility
- At the April 13 student government meeting, Erin Rogers ’00 reported that the board of trustees accepted the most recent alcohol policy proposal. However, she added that they would like to see the basement of Hogg Hall be looked into as a possible recreational facility.
- The Lafayette back online
- After a hiatus since 1996, The Lafayette web site has been completely redesigned. It is currently being readied to publish all articles appearing in the newspaper each week.
