Summer Service: Live, LAF, Serve

The Landis Community Outreach Center offers a pre-orientation service opportunity for first-year students at Lafayette College. Organized by upper-class students and supported by the Landis Community Outreach Center professional staff, the program offers students the chance to serve in, learn about, and connect with the Easton community.

Our select group of first-year students can participate in one of the following service projects:

  • West Ward Neighborhood Partnership Camp: Work on beautification projects in Easton's West Ward Neighborhood.
  • Kids in the Community (KIC) Day Camp:Serve as camp counselors for children (ages 4-11) from the local community, directing various activities on Lafayette's campus.
  • Firth Youth Center Day Camp: Organize and staff the last week of summer day camp for children (ages 4-16) at Firth Youth Center, located in Phillipsburg, NJ.
  • Teens in the Community (TIC) Day Camp: Serve as camp counselors for teens (ages 12-17) from the local community, directing various activities on Lafayette's campus.
  • Easton Area Senior Center: Interact with local seniors though fun activities that help you learn about people of all ages and gain knowledge about challenges faced by seniors and how you can help.
