Community Connections

The Landis Center seeks to enhance and strengthen college-community partnerships by developing sustainable, reciprocal relationships with various members of the surrounding communities.

Our student-centered co-curricular service learning programs regularly engage Lafayette students with the community through educational trainings, strong direct service opportunities, and meaningful reflection.

The Landis Center employs nearly 30 student staff members to maintain connections with specific community organizations through weekly service programs. Student staff members recruit and train volunteers to work with the community in meaningful ways. All students are encouraged and challenged to think critically about social issues through guided reflection and dialogue.
