Aftermath: Images from Ground Zero(January 23 - April 28 2006)"My task was to record the aftermath: the awesome spectacle of destruction, the reverence for the dead, the steadfast, painstaking effort of recovery, and the daily lives of those in the zone whose act of salvation has embedded itself deeply into the consciousness of us all." -- Joel Meyerowitz Just days after the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center in New York, award-winning photographer Joel Meyerowitz began documenting the unfolding response and recovery at Ground Zero. As the only photographer granted unimpeded access to the site, Meyerowitz created an archive of more than 8,000 images from which this exhibition is drawn. Versions of the exhibit have traveled to nearly 200 cities in 60 countries.
