Hello, LEAPERs 

Greetings. 

A few of us managed to get together on Thursday to discuss the formation of
the official administrative environmental committee and its relationship
with the informal liaison group. Art Kney suggested that we keep notes (with
a rotating secretary's help) of our meetings. These notes should be soon
posted on the LEAP website.

We hope that the administrative group will be formed in the beginning of the
fall semester. We expect that Mr. Quivey will announce the members of the
official team soon. The informal Green committee would like to establish
some sort of parallel structure between the new official and the old
informal group. Suggestions on how to create an effective communication
between them are very welcome.

Josh Porter will talk to George Xiques to distribute the energy conservation
stickers. Supposedly, these stickers have arrived at the the dorms, but
there have been no sightings in academic buildings.

Student LEAP will give a presentation during the RA training during the week
of Orientation. Art Kney suggested that we request Engineers without Borders
to incorporate LEAP fliers in their slot during Orientation. Josh will meet
Fidel Maltez who is the liaison for EwB and hand over LEAP recycling fliers.

The timing of our next meeting will depend on when the formation of the
official committee is announced. Please, feel free to add constructive
recommendations to our agenda.
