A Film Festival

During the 2007-2008 academic year, Lafayette College will celebrate the 250th anniversary of its namesake, the Marquis de Lafayette. The Marquis was a forward-thinking man, who risked his life for the principles of liberty, advocated the emancipation of slavery, and promoted religious tolerance. Voltaire called him “the hero of America and the liberator of France”. To celebrate the birthday of this hero of two continents, FLL is hosting a film festival for language students. Please visit our page of festival guidelines under "Special Programs" and browse our list of suggested topics.
