Film Critique

Film Critique Due date: November 3, 1999 Length: 2 pages minimum Begin with an introductory statement informing your reader what the film was about and what type of film it was. Give some general information about the film, such as the name of the director and the main actors.

Remember that I am not asking you for a complete summary of the actions, but rather for an analysis of your reaction to the film. Of course, you may need to discuss certain scenes from the movie.

State what your general impression of the film was: positive or negative. Please make sure to justify your reaction using as many examples as you see fit. Some considerations might be: coherence of the film narrative, depth of characterization, quality of acting, effectiveness of photography, social relevance, thematic coherence, spectator interest, etc.

Once again, be sure to organize your argument in a logical manner (one idea per paragraph, please!).

Your conclusion should be brief and to the point. Would you encourage people to see the movie and why?
