| I am an associate professor in the Department of Physics at Lafayette College. I obtained my Ph.D. from Wesleyan University and have been a researcher at the Universitaet Kaiserslautern in Germany. I have also worked at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, where I maintain an ongoing collaboration with the Atomic and Molecular Physics Group. I also taught at Bates College and before I came to Lafayette I was an NSF-AIRE Fellow at Colby College. |

| Research | My research is in the area of atomic and molecular physics, particularly the application of laser spectroscopic techniques to the study of low energy atomic and molecular scattering phenomena. After earning a Ph.D., my research interests turned to the field of electron-molecule scattering. I am still active in this field, but I am currently setting up a laboratory at Lafayette to study low-energy collisions between laser excited atoms. For more details, see a description of my current projects, my publication list, and my grants list.
