The Office of Intercultural Development (OID) advances Lafayette's commitment to creating and maintaining an inclusive campus climate, and affirms that the presence of diversity and cultural richness is an essential component of student learning and enhancing the students' cultural experience. The Office aims to broaden cultural awareness and understanding, promote genuine pluralism and equitable community; fosters an atmosphere that embraces cultural difference and integration; and advocates mutual respect, cultural integrity, and self-growth.

We recognize that a multicultural presence helps all students better understand the challenges and rewards of living in an environment that embraces diversity. OID provides the community with different opportunities to partake in intercultural programming and cross-cultural dialogue and provides information, advice, and services to ALANA students and the wider Lafayette community.
