Voluntary Vision Plan

The College offers employees and retirees the opportunity to enroll in a vision discount plan. This plan provides significant savings on eye care services and products including exams, eye glasses and contact lenses. This plan is entirely optional, and while the College does not contribute, the plan simply requires that the employee pay a very small annual premium.

Unlike most managed care vision plans on the market, this discount plan allows you to purchase glasses as often as you choose. Most managed care vision plans provide one exam and one pair of lenses in a twelve month period and one frame in a twenty-four month period with premium rates for family coverage ranging from $15 to $30 per month. With this discount card, you may purchase, at significant savings, an unlimited quantity of contact lenses, prescription glasses, prescription sunglasses, and replacement glasses should you lose your original pair. There are no claim forms required. You simply present your card and pay the discounted rate. There is no insurance company limiting your frame selection or the type of lenses or contact lenses you may choose.
