Tour Vision

It is best to start the planning process two years in advance. Consider these questions as you define your vision.

Where do you want to travel? You may want to offer your choir three destinations you believe are cost-effective for your program and for your singers. Let them know all the opportunities for concerts and sightseeing and discuss the costs involved.
Where do you want to perform?
What do you want to see along the way? Once you arrange concert sites and a tour route, your choices of sightseeing venues will become much clearer.
Would you participate in a choir exchange? Would you perform to benefit local charities?
How many people, including chaperones and bus drivers, will be traveling? It is important to work chaperones into your vision as they will directly affect your costs.
How luxurious do your accommodations have to be? Lodging and meals are costly areas of tour planning. If your choir can stay in youth hostels, you cut costs considerably. Knowing the needs of your group in advance can save you time and money.
