The Middle Atlantic Collegiate Fencing Association originated in 1952 as an association of small fencing schools; since then it has grown from five to fifteen schools almost evenly divided between Division I and III.  Club and varsity teams are eligible for conference play, which consists of a complete round-robin of dual meets as well as a conference championship tournament at the end of the season.  The All-Conference team, selected by combining season long dual meet stats with performance in teh championship, fences a postseason dual meet each year with the MACFA Alumni All-Conference team.
