2007 Trip to Honduras: Abstract A team of three students and two advisors went to La Fortuna after the design of the water and sanitation system was finalized. GPS points of the pipeline route were taken, together with the points where check valves and air valves are necessary. The route was marked with sticks and orange tapes to facilitate the implementation phase. Students conducted community meeting and consulted the community about the design. Everyone in the community welcomed the design brought forward by EWB. An agreement that lined out the responsibilities of each party was signed between the water board and EWB. Towards the end of their one-week visit in La Fortuna, the team and a few members of the water board visited the owner of the spring in La Fortuna to negotiate a price to render the spring communal. An agreement was reached. During the second week, the team visited Lagunitas as part of the evaluation phase of CODE-PSI. The living condition in Lagunitas had improved. The team went to each house to check the pressure on every valve and record possible improvements. The team then visited El Convento on the third day of the second week to make a rudimentary site assessment and discuss the possibility of carrying out a project there.
