 August 2005 Trip to Lagunitas: Abstract
This trip marked the beginning of the implementation phase of the Lagunitas project. Prior to the trip the villagers with funding from EWB-Lafayette had already completed the construction of the springbox and dug the trenches for the connection line between the springbox and storage tank. A team of four students and a faculty advisor went to Lagunitas to oversee and support the construction of the connection line. The team purchases PVC piping locally and completed the assembly of the pipes in the trenches. The villagers with the aid of a local construction manager would begin the construction of the storage tank based on EWB designs over the course of the next few months.
