Brothers Jonathan Schimmel '09 and Joseph Nam '09 traveled to DKE Headquarters at the Shant in Ann Arbor, Michigan, for a DKE-filled weekend. They met many fellow undergraduates, along with recent DKE alumni, and older Dekes. On Friday they registered at the Shant, and immediately felt welcomed and quite comfortable with all the other Dekes, going out for food and drinks. Saturday afternoon was cocktails at the Shant, followed by the Lion Trophy & Awards Banquet. Sunday morning they sat in on the DKE International Board of Directors meeting. We hosted our annual Faculty Dinner, with about 15 attendees, including: President Weiss, Dean Worthen, Dean Clemence, Hugh Harris (Director of Public Safety), Terry Weber, Dr. Moyer (our faculty advisor), in addition to other faculty members that our brothers feel close with. Dinner consisted of salads, prime rib with vegetables and potatoes, and chocolate cake for dessert. We received several thank you letters from some of the faculty in attendance.
