Frostbite Regatta- November 8, 2008
Each heat at the Frostbite Regatta is its own race, with each heat winner earning a medal.
Boats Entered: MN4+A, MN4+B, ML4+A, ML4+B, MN8+, ML8+, MV8+, WN4+A, WN4+B, WL4+, WV4+, WN8+, WV8+A, WV8+B
Top Performances:

First Place- Women's Light 4+: For the second year in a row Lafayette won the only lightweight women's 4+ race at the Frostbite Regatta against a fiveboat field that included second place finisher Lehigh.

Second Place- Women's Varsity 4+: Lafayette took second in its heat to Temple. Our time was also the second fastest of all the heats, making us 2nd of 18. However, with floating starts, this isn't a fair comparison to the rest of the field.

Second Place- Women's Varsity 8+: In the top seed Women's Varsity 8+ race, Lafayette took second to Drexel, beating Temple, St. Joseph's, and Philadelphia University. Coming through the 1000 meter mark the field was mostly even. As with the WV4+, the WV8+ had the second fastest time overall in the field of 17 boats, but those floating starts...

Head of the Schuylkill Regatta- October 25-26, 2008
Boats Entered: MN4+, MN8+, MV4+, MV8+, WN4+, WN8+, WV4+, WV8+
Top Performances:

7th Place- Women's Open 4+: Our Head of the Charles Women's Lightweight 4+ raced again this weekend and was the fastest collegiate crew in the 24 boat Open 4+ event, giving Lafayette it's best placement on record in this event.

9th Place- Women's Club 8+: In a 28 boat field, the Head of the Charles Women's 8+ pulled through a strong headwind and hard rain to give Lafayette its best placement on record at this regatta.

9th Place- Men's Club 8+: Another best placement on record pulled by the year's Head of the Charles Men's 8+ in a 30 boat field.

9th Place- Men's Open 4+: Another lightweight boat competing in the open 4+ event, against a field of 20.

Head of the Charles Regatta- October 18-19, 2008
Boats Entered: Women's Light 4+, Women's Club 8+, Men's Club 8+
Results:

15th Place- Women's Club 8+: The best performance by a Lafayette Women's 8+ on record, also the first time Lafayette has raced a women's 8+ at the Head of the Charles since 2000. The crew raced 44 other boats from across the country and earned an automatic entry into the 2009 Head of the Charles Regatta.

35th Place- Men's Club 8+: Also the first time Lafayette has raced a men's 8+ at the Head of the Charles since 2000. The crew narrowly missed an automatic entry into the 2009 Head of the Charles Regatta.

9th Place- Women's Lightweight 4+: The crew raced well against the field of 14 in this Championship event and we look forward to great things coming out of our lightweight women's program.
