Admissions Tests
Many graduate schools require an applicant to complete one of the common entrance tests.

Essays and Personal Statements
The application essay or personal statement can be anything from a couple of paragraphs about why you want to attend graduate school, to a lengthy document which expounds on your achievements, strengths and weaknesses, and your motivation for attending.

Adobe Acrobat Reader is required for viewing and printing. If you do not have Acrobat Reader installed, please download Acrobat Reader from Adobe's web site.

Letters of Recommendation
Usually, two or three letters of recommendation will be required for admission into a graduate program.

Transcripts
Providing your transcript to the institutions to which you apply is an almost universal requirement.

Interviews
Interviews may or may not be required for graduate school admission.

Auditions and Portfolios
Graduate programs in music, theater, and dance will frequently require auditions; programs in art, architecture, journalism and other visual fields will often ask for portfolios.
