Special Events

Sunday, November 16, 3:00 p.m., $6.00
This sixth annual a cappella concert, sponsored by the Lafayette College Arts Society, benefits Friends of Lafayette Music and the Daniel P. O'Neil '06 Memorial Fund.

Lafayette's student-led ensembles (all-female Cadence, all-male Chorduroys, and mixed-voice Soulfege) will be joined by guest groups from other schools in a celebration of song.

Friends of Lafayette Music is a group of alumni, parents and friends who support Lafayette’s four a cappella groups—Cadence, Chorduroys, Soulfege, and Quintessence.

Since 1998, Friends of Lafayette Music has worked to support these student musicians to help them make the most of their Lafayette experience as well as bring music to the lives of the Lafayette community. Friends’ financial support allows the groups to purchase new equipment, music, uniforms, and supplies. In addition, all four groups have been able to take their music on the road to competitions and festivals, and to invite professional musicians to hold workshops.

With the support of the Friends of Lafayette Music, music continues to be a vital part of the Lafayette experience. Whether you attend a performance, support the programs financially, or simply spread the word that these groups represent student-led Lafayette music at its finest, we thank you.

If you’d like to become a Friend, please send checks payable to Lafayette College (with “Friends of Lafayette Music” on the memo line) to Annual Fund, Markle Hall, Lafayette College, Easton, PA 18042, or click here to make a secure online gift.
