Pards on Wheels!, April 2005

Adventurous Arts Society members and others spent a Monday evening at Skateaway of Bethlehem. Everyone was a Roller Diva or Roller Dude for the night, grooving to old-school music and not falling down at all! Well, not much. The first 25 people to arrive at the rink wearing Lafayette garb won free drinks from the rink's snack bar.

Megan Conway '06 needed coaching from Greg Lapp '06 before she ventured out on the floor. She did great!
Jessica Goldblat '06 laces 'em tight.
Arts Society advisor Allison Quensen Blatt and Alyssa Wiley '05 compare skates.
Suzi Ryder '05 and Tim Zirkel '08 wait for Rob McEwen '05.
Amanda Driscoll '06 encouraged courageous novice skater Rob McEwen '05.
Not only can we skate, but we're darn cute, too. (Ashlee Snyder '05 and Magee Perini '05; Toni Ahrens '05, Christie Morley '06, and Jessica Goldblat '06; Tyler Cohn '06 and Suzi Ryder '05)
Adequate rest is important if you want to get up and boogie.
Sarah Templeton '06 brought her own inlines; Terese Brown '07 brought her Ruef Hall residents.
Ashlee Snyder '05 uses the wall instead of the brakes.
We played the Four Corners game...
and did the Cha-Cha Slide.
Oh yeah--look at us now! We're on a roll for sure.
That's Skateaway of Bethlehem, folks--public sessions, private parties, arcade games, snack bar, nice people. On Easton Avenue (William Penn Highway) just off Route 33, (610) 865-4004.
Tired but happy Pards returned their rental skates at night's end.
