History/Mission Statement The Richard A. and Rissa W. Grossman Gallery at the Williams Visual Art Building presents exhibitions and related activities that support Lafayette College’s educational programs; advances the awareness and understanding of contemporary art, and serves as a community resource. Exhibitions of international artists, regional artists, regional high school students, Lafayette students and faculty are complimented by catalogues, brochures, lectures, panel discussions, and workshops. The Grossman Gallery works in conjunction with the Community Based Teaching Program to bring artist, student, and art enthusiasts together in a casual, yet educational environment. Thursday evening Open Drawing Studios occur every Thursday night from 7-10 p.m. and an open studio high school program runs Thursdays from 5–7 p.m. Those interested in taking an active role in our programs are encouraged to contact Jim Toia at the Williams Visual Arts Building, (610)330-5577 or by e-mail at toija@lafayette.edu. |
