The Lafayette College Arts Society (LCAS), open to all Lafayette students, works with the constituent organizations of the Williams Center for the Arts (Performance Series, College Theater, Art Gallery, Department of Music, Department of Art) to advance the presence of the fine and performing arts on the Lafayette campus.

LCAS members regularly attend performances and events presented by the constituent organizations, and assist them with program planning, promotion, and evaluation. All members are expected to actively participate in Society activities, including fundraising.

The Society sponsors, presents, and manages regular arts-related programs and activities open to all students, such as writing circles, art feedback forums, jam sessions, student art exhibitions, etc.

LCAS also sponsors, presents, and manages arts-related special events, programs, and activities open to all students, such as trips to performances and exhibitions, guest speakers, master classes, receptions for visiting artists, etc.

Annual (academic year) dues of $8.00 entitle LCAS members to two free tickets to their choice of College Theater performances; discounts on Society-sponsored events and trips, selected dance classes offered by Recreation Services, and Art Department-sponsored trips to the Metropolitan Museum; and more.

Support the Arts Society!
Your contributions will help us expand and improve our programs and events (always open to all students)—trips to museums and performances, guest speakers, master classes, participatory arts projects, and more.
When you make your gift to Lafayette's Annual Fund, just designate the amount to be allocated to the Arts Society, and the fine folks at Markle Hall will credit our account. (You can even contribute online with a Visa, Mastercard, or American Express card.)
Dan O'Neil

It is with great sorrow that we note the passing of Dan O'Neil '06, who died in the shootings at Virginia Tech, where he was working on a graduate degree in environmental engineering, on April 16, 2007. Dan was Vice-President of the Arts Society in 2005–2006 and a two-year Arts House resident. He organized Café Nights and Guitar Jams, and performed at four Block pARTies. He was a popular member of the Parson(s) Street and Williams Center communities, and we will miss him.

The College has established the Daniel P. O'Neil '06 Memorial Fund, which will support senior projects in engineering, with preference to civil engineering majors and those active in the arts on campus. To make a secure gift online, click here.

If you'd like to send us your stories about Dan, we'll post them here. Please let us know if you'd like your note to be anonymous.
