CALL FOR CLIPS
For the Lafayette Student Election Night Broadcast
Submission Deadline: October 13, 2008
On November 4, 2008 the Policy Studies Program will sponsor a student-produced election night broadcast. This broadcast, which will be carried live throughout the Lehigh Valley and worldwide via the Internet, will attempt to cover all the issues and races that matter in this historic election.
We are looking for your help to make the broadcast as entertaining and enlightening as possible! Any Lafayette student may submit a video clip for possible inclusion in the broadcast.
The few requirements are:
- the clip should run between 30 seconds and 2 minutes;
- it should relate in some way to politics or policy;
- and, it should be appropriate for broadcast on the school's website and RCN cable.
Think YouTube or The Daily Show, not the traditional network news coverage!
We encourage clips that:
- Investigate an issue or policy that is interesting to you
- Offer a unique perspective
- Indicate why the 2008 election is relevant to your future
- Indicate why the 2008 election is irrelevant to your future
- Provide comic relief
- Reveal something about American political processes
Remember: The submission deadline is October 13, 2008.
