The Band program at Lafayette is part of the ensemble division of the Music Department. There are two bands to serve the needs of the student instrumentalist and the college. Both bands are under the direction of Dr. James Moyer and are open to all Lafayette students. Enrollment in each band can be for .25 credits. Contact Dr. Moyer at 5359 if you are interested in joining either or both of the bands. Still have questions? Send me an e-mail.

PEP BAND performs for all home football and basketball games and normally travels to one away game each year. Membership is open to all students and all music is prepared at a short camp the week prior to the start of classes in the Fall. The camp includes room and meals for the duration as well as numerous planned social activities. Since this group does not have weekly rehearsals throughout the year, attendance at the Camp is required for membership. The Pep Band has a long history of providing energy and spirit at home games and perform for Family Weekend and Homecoming as well. MUSIC 159.
